Milnes Beatson is a well-established accounting firm seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. With a strong reputation for providing quality financial services to our clients, especially to our rural based clients, we are looking for an individual who can contribute to our continued success and growth.
Responsibilities:
– Prepare financial statements, tax returns and GST’s for individuals, businesses, and organizations
– Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to clients for decision-making purposes
– Reviewing
– Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
– Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations
– Provide guidance and support to Accounting staff members
Requirements:
– Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role and have at least 5 years experience in a NZ CA firm
– In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices
– Proficiency with Xero, Excel and Word
– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
– Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

We are seeking an Intermediate/Junior Accountant, preferably with at least 2 years’ experience in a CA Firm. We are a mid-size firm based in Motueka, with a good mix of clients.
We seek someone to complement our current team. Key skills include:
– Preparation of financial accounts and tax returns
– Preparation inward records
– Preparing GST’s
– Assisting clients with Accounting software issues, including Xero
– Good organisational and time management skills
